I have been and ESL teacher for 17 years. I have been fortunate to be at Roosevelt High School for all of those 17 years. I was born and raised in Minnesota, but love to travel the world and learn about different cultures and places. I earned my undergrad degree in American Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus and went to Hamline University for my ESL teaching license.
I am married and have 2 wonderful children who are both now in high school. We keep busy cheering our kids on in lacrosse and diving as well as attending football games to watch our daughter play in the high school marching band. We love to play tennis and get out as often as we can, although sometimes that doesn't show in our level of play!
This school year I am excited that along with my lead teacher duties I will be co-teaching in 9th grade Physics and 9th grade Biology. My role as co-teacher is to promote English language development as well as ensure meaningful access to grade-level content for all English learners. Along the way I hope to dust off the cobwebs of my own science knowledge that I developed oh so many years ago in high school and college.
My office is in room 100 or you may also reach me at 612-668-4861 or firstname.lastname@example.org
