I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota.  I still very much enjoy the outdoors such as fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, and working on cars.  My first real job was in the United States Air Force.  In 1986, I attended Brown Institute of technology and earned an Associates degree in electronics.  I worked in industry

a few years and was inspired by others to become a teacher.  I began college in 1991 and graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1995 with undergraduate degrees in Earth Science and General physical science.  I have been teaching ninth grade Foundation science and now chemistry at Roosevelt High school since graduating college.  Roosevelt is a rewarding place to teach and learn.  To better understand education policy, law, and curriculum, I studied and earned a Master's of Arts degree in Education Administration.
