I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota.  I still very much enjoy the outdoors such as fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, and working on cars.  My first real job was in the United States Air Force.  In 1986, I attended Brown Institute of technology and earned an Associates degree in electronics; after studying electronics I worked in industry for Honeywell and Lear Siegler.  While working in industry and while there was inspired by

others to become a teacher, so in 1990 I began the rewarding journey of becoming a science teacher.  While at University, I completed undergraduate studies in Earth Science & general science, and graduate studies in chemistry.  To better understand education policy, law, and curriculum, I studied and completed four years of graduate studies and earned licensure in Education Administration in 1999. I love working at Roosevelt high school, and discovered long ago that Roosevelt is a rewarding place to teach and learn; during the past 19 years at Roosevelt, I have taught earth Science, physical science, chemistry and ninth grade science.
