Educational Talent Search

Educational Talent Search is a federally funded TRIO program that provides academic, cultural and leadership support for high school students and is committed to providing free educational, vocational, career and financial aid information to first generation, low-income high school students in our area.

Program Highlights: We provide after school Scholar Hour, Monday – Thursday, in room 282 from 3:10 – 5:00 p.m.

  • Tutoring  (provided by Roosevelt Teachers and Talent Search Staff)
  • Study skills
  • Career and college exploration
  • Financial aid and scholarship information
  • Post-secondary selection and enrollment
  • ACT information and registration
  • College visits  and cultural activities
  • Workshops for students

Eligibility Requirement: We serve students in 9-12 grades. Although our objective is to assist and support Roosevelt staff and administration to increase the graduation rate and entry into college of first generation and low income students, our program is open to all students.  Education Talent Search continues our relationship with the Roosevelt High School Athletic Department to provide Scholar Hour Services for the 2015 – 2016 academic school year.
