Each graduating senior who participates in the ceremony must pay a fee of $30. This fee is mandated by the Minneapolis Public School District and covers the cost of graduation transportation, printing of programs, flowers, facility rental, and other miscellaneous items. Fees must be paid by May 18, 2012 to Darlene Van de Loo, Room 105A. A receipt will be issued. Checks should be made payable to Roosevelt High School.
Senior student obligations (sports equipment, textbooks/Media Center materials not returned, any other charges owed to the school) must be paid by May 25, 2012. Please watch for information from the Media Center during the month of April regarding student obligations. Your student may stop in the Media Center at anytime to see if they have any outstanding obligations. If you have any questions, please call Patty Arnold, Media Specialist @ 612-668-4827.

The Roosevelt Sagamore Yearbook:
Yearbooks make great graduation gifts! The price is $60. If you don't purchase your 2012 yearbook by December 23, the price will go up to $60 and you will not be able to personalize your yearbook. We accept checks and money orders made out to Roosevelt High School. Cash is gladly accepted. Remember – you can put a down-payment of at least half of your total order to secure your yearbook.
Cap and Gown Graduation Photos are scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012. Every person pictured is required to purchase at least one $10 package. Seniors can take individual and/or buddy photos. Students will need to sign up for an appointment in room 011 in the beginning of April.
2012 Yearbook Distribution will be on May 24 and 25, 2012 during 1st and 2nd lunch in the cafeteria. Extra yearbooks will be sold for $60 CASH ONLY on a first come, first serve basis.
Graduation Announcements or Class Rings may be ordered directly through Jostens or any provider you choose. This is an optional service and is an added cost to students, parents or guardians. Should you wish to order, you will deal directly with the provider.
Junior-Senior Prom will be held at the Minnesota Centennial Showboat, 100 Yacht Club Rd W., St Paul, MN 55107 on Friday, May 11, 2011 from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Single tickets are $65 and $85 for couples. Tickets for the event will go on sale at Roosevelt High School starting the week of April 23.
No personal checks will be accepted from students or parents/guardians after May 18, 2012 for payments of any kind. Cash and Money Orders will be accepted.
And as always, students need to pay attention to weekly announcements during seminar and check scrolling announcements to keep track of upcoming events at Roosevelt High School.
