Within these programs are many opportunities to personalize your path at Roosevelt. Congrats to senior Will Janzen for placing 8th in the MSHL CC State Meet. 

Will is the 1st Teddy to place in the top 10 since 2002!

PROJECT SUCCESS FREE THEATER EVENT

Project Success has another great holiday theater opportunity for all MPS high school students! Come enjoy the Nutcracker Fantasy at the historic State Theatre.

Tickets are FREE and students can register for up to 4 tickets per performance, so please bring friends and family!

If students need transportation assistance to the show, Project Success can provide that. Registration is simple and can be done at projectsuccess.org/theater.

PROJECT SUCCESS THEATER OPPORTUNITIES

Project Success has more great theater opportunities for MPS high school students! This time, we are in partnership with History Theatre, Theater Latte Da, Katha Dance Theatre, Full Circle Theater Company, and Guthrie Theater! These opportunities are 100% free of charge and if students and families need transportation to a performance, Project Success can provide that. Registration is simple and can be done here

MYP PERSONAL PROJECT LAUNCH

The 10th Grade Middle Years Program Personal Project has launched!  This is an independent project for all 10th graders. The project is supported in a variety of classes, but primarily happens Thursday, during Advisory, with the student’s project supervisors and on student’s own time. It is one component of our International Baccalaureate programing.

QUARANTINING STUDENTS MAY ORDER MEAL BOXES

Students may order meals within the first 24 hours of receiving the call to quarantine. An email confirmation will list date and time to pick up your box which contains five breakfast and five lunch meals. Questions?

NATIONAL MERIT

Congratulations to Will Janzen, a senior at Roosevelt, for being awarded a Semifinalist in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.  This is a prestigious award and less than 1% of the students who took the PSAT test as a junior become Semifinalist.   He will have a chance to win a scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship Program.
