Roosevelt Counseling Department Mission Statement:

The mission of the RHS Counseling Department is to empower all students to pursue their individual academic, career and personal/social aspirations.
Roosevelt counselors strive, through intentional and comprehensive counseling services, to instill all students with a sense of commitment and confidence
as they contribute their unique strengths to our global community.
 
Roosevelt Counseling Belief Statement:
 
We believe that ALL students have the right to actualize their inherent brilliance.

Why should I see my Roosevelt Counselor?

Counselors help students and families in the areas of academics, post-secondary (college and career) planning, and personal/emotional concerns. 

District Level Standards & Expectations of School Counselors

We'll help you with:

  • Academic assistance.
  • Tracking progress toward graduation.
  • Opportunities to make up credits.
  • Letters of recommendation and planning life after high school.
  • Ways to get involved and connected to the RHS community.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making strategies.
  • Referrals for support, including mental and chemical health services.
  • Challenging life circumstances.

Each student at Roosevelt is assigned to one of three counselors, according to their last name.
