Curious about how to change your schedule this year? Below is the RHS Schedule Change policy for School Year 2020-2021:

Student schedules will be available to view on Student Portal. Schedule change requests will be considered on an individual basis. 

  • The last day to request a schedule change will be Friday February 5th, 2021.
  • The last day to add or drop and IB class will be Friday February 12th, 2021. 

Acceptable schedule change requests: 

  1. I am placed in wrong class (already took it, wrong level)
  2. I am missing a core class (English, Social Studies, Math, Science) 
  3. I need a required class for my program/graduation  
  4. There is an error on my schedule 

Unacceptable schedule change request: 

  1. I want a different hour/teacher
  2. I want to be with a friend 
  3. I selected it on my course selection sheet in the spring but I’ve changed my mind
  4. I don’t want to take this class while we are doing Distance Learning 

How to request a schedule change: To make a schedule change, you must email your school counselor. Schedule changes are not always possible.

Roosevelt Counseling Department Mission Statement:

The mission of the RHS Counseling Department is to empower all students to pursue their individual academic, career and personal/social aspirations.
Roosevelt counselors strive, through intentional and comprehensive counseling services, to instill all students with a sense of commitment and confidence
as they contribute their unique strengths to our global community.

Why should I see my Roosevelt Counselor?

Counselors help students and families in the areas of academics, post-secondary (college and career) planning, and personal/emotional concerns. 

We'll help you with:

  • Academic assistance.
  • Tracking progress toward graduation.
  • Opportunities to make up credits.
  • Letters of recommendation and planning life after high school.
  • Ways to get involved and connected to the RHS community.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making strategies.
  • Referrals for support, including mental and chemical health services.
  • Challenging life circumstances.

Each student at Roosevelt is assigned to one of three counselors, according to their last name.
