Tamie Fritz, Social Studies Teacher Room 113
Lincoln Statue
Sitting on a bench beside a bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln

I began my teaching career at Roosevelt High School 24 years ago and have been here ever since!  I graduated from Moorhead State University in 1982 with a degree in Social Work and after 10 years in county administration, decided to return to school to become an educator.  I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a social studies license, did my student teaching and completed a residency program here before becoming a  permanent member of the Roosevlet community.  I live with my husband and dog in the Roosevelt neighborhood and my only son graduated from Roosevelt 12 years ago.

In addition to teaching social studies, I have been very involved in both our AVID program and IBDP.  This year, I am teaching U.S. History and the Theory of Knowledge class in the IB Diploma program.

As a social studies teacher, I feel it is important for all students to leave high school with the critical thinking skills necessary to be successul in college and the workplace and be involved members in our communities.

I can be reached by phone at 612-668-4800 or by email at
