I have been an ESL teacher for 25 years and have been fortunate to be at Roosevelt High School for all of those years.  I was born and raised in Minnesota, but love to travel the world and learn about different cultures and places.  I earned my undergrad degree in American Studies at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.  I dabbled in various careers (look for my name in the credits of the movie Grumpy Old Men😉) before deciding my joy comes from teaching and learning from young people.  I earned my Masters Degree in Education and teaching license for ESL at  Hamline University in St. Paul.

This school year I am excited to be teaching academic English to our newer to the US students as well as co-teaching with our Resource English teachers.     I look forward to a fun year of teaching and learning.
