I began my teaching career at Roosevelt High School 27 years ago and have been here ever since! I graduated from Moorhead State University in 1982 with a degree in social work and after 10 years in county administration, decided to return to school to become an educator. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a social studies license, did my student teaching and completed a residency program here before becoming a permanent member of the Roosevelt community. I have lived in the Roosevelt neighborhood for 30 years and my only son graduated from Roosevelt in 2004.
In addition to teaching social studies, I am involved in both our AVID program and IBDP. This year, I am teaching U.S. History, AVID 10 and Theory of Knowledge in the IB Diploma program.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, anything outdoors and spending time with family and friends, especially my new granddaughter born this summer.
