Roosevelt Health Careers Program

Health Careers Program Core:

The Health Careers Program offers many ways for students to be involved, including certification programs ( Certified Nurse Assistant, EMR, and EMT), opportunities to earn college credit, and a secure connection between high school and post-secondary programs in health care through our partnerships.


To provide educational opportunities to a diverse body of students interested in preparing for careers in healthcare.
Health Careers Program prepares students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge to explore different career opportunities within the healthcare industry. 
Pillars of the Health Careers Program:
  • Mentorship 
  • Entry level career training: CNA, EMR AND EMT.
  • Courses: Health Care Core + Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology.
  • Service Learning ( 50 hour minimum).
  • Experiential Learning Trips.
  • Career Fairs

What will you do after graduation?

The Health Careers Program provides a wide range of opportunities that compliment learning experience students have in the classroom. The program brings student knowledge and talents into the real world through hands-on health care and public health experiences that shape their educational journey.
