I grew up in New Berlin, WI and graduated high school from West Allis Nathan Hale High. In high school, I participated in theater, orchestra, science team, and swam on the speed swimming and synchronized swimming teams.  

While attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, I continued to swim for the U of M Synchronized Swimming team. I graduated from the U with a B.A. in History in.  Studying history was challenging, exciting, and most importantly, fun! I completed my Masters of Education at the U and began teaching in 2011.  I work every day to bring joy to our classrooms through meaningful content, relevant curriculum, and a great joke about Wisconsin Cheeses.
